Understand what is happening at a specific location

click-map-2

To understand what is happening at an exact location and what multiple layers mean, you can click on the map at any point and get the data table for all the specific features that intersect your clicked location.

As you hover of the entry on the data table, the corresponding feature geometry will be highlighted with a green halo on the map.

Annotate your findings

We've made it easy for you to mark up your findings with pins, polygons and text label annotations. All of these can be found in the top right corner of Explorer.

annotations

With pins and polygons you can give it a name and choose whether to show this on the map as a label next to your pin or polygon. You can add any relevant notes and also choose from 6 different colours to personalise your features.

You can also tag your annotations...

Create groups of information with tags

You can easily group historical maps, data layers and yor annotations with tags.

tags

Tags are text labels that you can assign to all of the different layers in Explorer. You can define the tag to be whatever makes most sense to you - denoting something for further review.

Once you have typed the tag on one layer you can use it in exactly the same manner on other layers to group them together.

To refine the list of maps, data and annotations based on the tag just use the search bar on the main control panel and select the relevant tag.
