Groundsure Explorer - Deliver
As well as making it easier to access and interpret the data, we have included a number of different ways that you can easily take the insight from Explorer and straight into your report
Easily get information from Explorer directly into your report
When viewing the attribution of any feature, you can hover over a specific value to see a pop-up called Copy content.
If you click on the value this will copy all the text for that attribute straight to your clipboard, which means you can go straight to you report and paste the value.
Share your findings through illustrations
They say a picture paints a 1000 words. Now you can create your own map exports showcasing all the data you need to illustrate your findings
The export button to the right of the control panel allows you to access all our exporting options, including map export.
When you select Map you will see a preview of what will be included in your image export.
We have included some preset sizes, although you can make the area larger or smaller by clicking and dragging the nodes in each corner.
The map export allows you to toggle on some map elements such as a north arrow, scale bar, and the option to present a map legend on the right of the image. You can also toggle the data layers (historical maps, data and annotations) that were present on the map when you entered the map export option.
Maps are exported in a PNG format.
Please be aware that downloadable images are for inclusion in reports only must not be used for GIS manipulation.
Export layer information for multiple layers from Explorer
Whilst you can download a csv for an individual data layer, you can also download a CSV for multiple data layers
Included in the export menu is the data option, allowing you to select multiple CSVs to download at once
You will be present with a list of data layers that you have loaded on the map as you go into the data export option. You can still choose other data layers to download by clicking the Show all layers link. This will open the menu of all the layers available for download. To include other data either select the checkbox of the individual dataset, or the group to include all data layers.
The data is download as a zip file, which will contain one CSV for each of the features you have selected. The Geometry is not included within the CSV.
Take your annotations with you
You can also export your pin and polygon annotations from Explorer within the same export menu
Similarly to the data export, you will be presented with a list of all the annotations that have been loaded onto the map. If you want to view and include other annotations for download, you can do so by clicking Show all annotations and selecting the relevant layers.
A maximum of 2 CSVs will be downloaded - one with all your pin annotations, and another with all your polygon annotations.
Please be aware The drawing and then downloading of polygons from features on the maps and data is permitted for the sole purpose of recreating them on printed plans. The use of these polygon features in the clients own GIS is restricted to the extent needed to recreate on printed plans. The features are not to be stored or used for analytics. There are no restrictions on the downloading of pins.
